The Angel Book is an independent, original digital gift book. Stickers are from our own licensed library. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any lingerie, fashion or music brand, show or artist.

Privacy policy

Who is responsible

STUDIO MERLIN, s.p. (details above) is the controller of personal data processed through this app.

What we store

• What you type into a card: your angel's name, your name (optional), the birth month, wing and ribbon choice, captions and the note.
• The photos you add, and where you tapped to place the halo doodle. Photos are resized in your own browser and then uploaded. Our server saves a fresh copy of each photo and removes all hidden photo data (EXIF), including location. We never change or draw over the photo itself.
• A private delete key for each card, saved in your own browser (local storage) so you can delete the card later. This is not a cookie and is never used for tracking.

We do not ask for email addresses, we do not use accounts, and we do not sell or share your data.

Why, and on what basis

We store this only to make the card you asked for and show it to people who have its link (performance of the service you request, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Short-lived technical logs (for example IP addresses in server logs and rate limits) protect the service from abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).

Who can see a card

Anyone who has the book's link can open it. Links are long random codes and books are hidden from search engines, but please only share the link with people you trust and do not put anything in a book you would not want others to see.

Photos of other people

Only upload photos you took or have the right to share, and only of people who are fine with it. If you are in a book and want it removed, email us with the link and we will delete it.

How long we keep it

A card stays online until it is deleted. You can delete it at any time with "Delete this book" on the device where you made it, or by emailing us the link. We may delete old or reported books without notice.

Visitor statistics

We count visits with our own self-hosted, cookieless analytics (Umami). It stores no IP addresses and no personal profiles, so there is no cookie banner.

Hosting and services

The app runs on a server rented from Hostinger in Germany (EU). Fonts and images are served from our own server; no third-party content networks are used.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of your data, and object to processing, by emailing tassh@studio-merlin.com. You can also complain to the Slovenian Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, www.ip-rs.si). The app is meant for people aged 15 and over.

Rules and terms of use

By making or opening a book you agree to these terms.

1. What this is

A free, just-for-fun digital card. It is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty, and we may change, pause or end it at any time.

2. Your content

You are solely responsible for everything you put in a book (names, words, photos) and for who you send the link to. You confirm you have the right to use every photo and that the people in it agree. You keep your rights to your content and give us a free, non-exclusive licence to store and show it only so the card works.

3. Not allowed

• Nudity or sexual content, and anything involving minors in any harmful way.
• Harassment, threats, hate, or content meant to hurt, scare or embarrass someone.
• Photos of people without their consent, other people's private data, or anything illegal or infringing.
• Spam, automated use, or attempts to break or overload the service.

We may remove any card at our own discretion, without notice.

4. No liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for user content, for what anyone does with a link, for lost or deleted books, errors, bugs, outages, or any direct or indirect damage from using the app. Because the app is free, our total liability is limited to zero euro.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence or harm to life or health caused by our fault, or your mandatory consumer rights.

5. Indemnity

You agree to cover any claims, costs or damages that arise because of content you uploaded or your breach of these terms.

6. Law

Slovenian law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence. If one clause is invalid, the rest still apply. We may update these terms; the version on this page applies.
